Joseph Shelanski

CEO, Director of Biophysical Research

Joseph Shelanski currently serves as both CEO and Director of Translational Research. Since he resumed leadership in 2018, he has required robust scientific processes in every aspect of operations, and the company has grown to become a global leader in skin care research.

Joseph is a driven researcher with 40 years of experience in a multitude of clinical research disciplines and a background of training in chemistry, physics, and biophysics.

With a passion for preservation and sustainability, he serves on the boards of the Land Trust of Bucks County and the Tohickon Watershed Association.

Sophia Shelanski

VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS

Sophia Shelanski, Vice President of Operations, has been with PII since 2011. Over the last 14 years, she has partnered with clients to solve complex challenges and build comprehensive product testing strategies aligned with global industry, safety, quality, and ethical standards. She is recognized for building trusted client relationships, delivering resource-conscious execution, and driving purposeful problem-solving. Passionate about advancing product safety standards, Sophia brings extensive experience navigating regulatory frameworks.

Stephanie Ross

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

As Director of Operations, Stephanie has 25 years of experience in management and operations. She began her career in the health and fitness industry, focused on high level program development and implementation, acquiring a solid foundation in leadership, team building, and performance management.

Today, Stephanie oversees day-to-day operations at Product Investigations, Inc., ensuring that processes run efficiently and that quality standards are consistently met. She works closely with internal teams to support timely, reliable outcomes for clients and to address needs as they arise. Her approach emphasizes clear communication, practical problem-solving, and dependable execution.
